Think About It
1) After flooding, I once rescued over 100 fish from an evaporating pond and transfered them back to the river.
2) My Freshman year, I was kicked out of my college fraternity because the older guys thought I was too wild.
3) My Son-in-law doubted stories of my basketball shooting skills, so I drove him to the gym and quickly made 8 out of 10 thirty five foot jump shots to show him. (the look on his face was priceless- )

Interesting Comment From an Active Elder
by DarioKehl ini was recently speaking to an elder "off the record" while helping him do some house repairs.
i have a comfortable enough relationship to speak openly with him about things, but am careful to disclose the extent of my disbelief in wt doctrine.
anyway, this guy wouldn't last a day in the mafia because he can't keep anything confidential.

This was very interesting. Please keep us posted, if you have anymore conversations like this.
This was a good approach that many others still in should try. (apostacratic warfare-LOL)

Champagne or beer. Maybe a Margarita with salted glass rim, if I'm having Mexican food.

it doesn't have to be awesome to anyone else. As long as it is awesome to YOU
1. My last year of little league baseball, I was the leadoff hitter every game and only made 2 outs the whole year.
2. I have streaked through a car wash along with the cars and avoided arrest.
3. I have dropped the funniest duce at the Vatican in the whole history of the Catholic Church.

1. I got my family out of the JW cult, and my children college educated.
2. Despite being born poor, I devised a plan to become a millionaire and was successful.
3. Last year, I taught a 25 year old married elder's wife by e-mail how to orgasm, and she e-mailed me an awesome recording of her first one.
I have many more unusual things.

What are the things you dislike most about JW's?
by Chariklo intop of my list has to be hypocrisy.
it runs right through, from elders downwards.
the literature and the gb are bad enough, but the bit that touches ordinary people, householders, students and ordinary rank and file is the false goodness that they put on like a raincoat.

personally... I think the head of the snake is the most evil but it's not what I dislike the most. I hate the arrogance of the rank and file. Joe Publisher if you will. How he's walking around with misinformation, looking down on you as a "pegan" or "worldly" for not bowing down to the golden calf of the Watchtower. Its so frustrating how they can present "facts" but refuse to listen to any. It's the dumb ass that thinks he's soooo smart that gets my blood a boilin'. The WTbullS is like a big zit on someones forehead. You just wanna pop that f'n thing.
Billy.....this was awesome.
I dislike that the Watchtower belief system is just as false as others they preach against, yet some JW beliefs cause people to die unnecessarily.
I dislike how the Watchtower belief system causes little children to lead miserable lives, with higher education & economic opportunities discouraged, and child pedophile incidents covered over.
I dislike how the Watchtower belief sytem destroys families and encourages shunning & disfellowshipping, because of one's leaving the religion or having a different opinion on something over than what their GB's current opinion is.
I dislike many other things about the Watchtower society, but I will let other's take a turn in calling them a Cult.

Confrontation of the city bus with witness
by perfect1 ini want to share with you an experience i had last night.
i was on my way to a vday date, hopped on the bus to get me there, and in front of me is a man folding tracts.
they say something about an end to suffering with a delusional paradise illustration.. so, he hands one to the woman in the row next to him, and tries to hand one back to me.
-

You should protect yourself from this dangerous cult, which destroys families. (Standing now for my stop, announcing to the whole bus:) My family will have nothing to do with me because of this religion. All I did was go to college.
I had adrenaline rushes for the next hour. Adrenaline is crazy.
Wow......I am having such a good day on a few other things, and reading this has made the day even better. I am so wanting to be confronted by JW's, if they are going to step up their street cult witnessing to people minding their own business. Very good job.
My date was awesome! It took me a little while to calm down but then we enjoyed a nice dinner- alcohol helps!! LOL!
Good thing your dinner date didn't do or say anything to piss you off. LOL

There is NO Polite Way to Say it to a JW
by OnTheWayOut inthere are so many recent joiners to this forum and many have the same questions about helping their loved one leave jehovah's witnesses.. we can try to cushion our statements.
we can approach the subject with thinking questions that seem to be disconnected to jw issues, but really are not disconnected.
we can state so-called "apostate" positions from a "doubter" view instead of one that is convinced of the lies.. we can learn all there is to learn about cognitive dissonance and dangerous mind-control cults.. we can read all kinds of things about jw history and doctrine and secret practises of the organization.. we can and should do what we can from the above to help someone we care about to free themself from the jehovah's witnesses.. but many of you newbies (and still a bunch of us oldbies here) want to know how to politely say .
